This Valentine’s Day snack mix (or Cupid’s chex mix of love, as the team and I have dubbed it at the studio! ❤️) is sweet, salty and the perfect treat to enjoy with someone you love. Add in your favorite festive mix-ins like heart sprinkles and edible glitter to jazz things up even more. This is a great Valentine’s Day treat to make and enjoy with the kiddos, too!

Super festive and fun: Who doesn’t love a sweet and salty treat?! This festive treat screams all things love and happiness.
Easily customizable: Use your favorite Valentine’s Day mix-ins, to make this snack mix your own. I love using mini m&ms, festive sprinkles and edible glitter. SO FUN!
Great recipe to include the kiddos: Because this recipe doesn’t include any raw ingredients, it’s a great recipe to make with the kiddos since they’ll inevitably do some snacking as you make it.
Ingredients You Need
- Marshmallows: Melted mallows are the sweet base to this snack mix.
- Butter: You’ll melt the butter with the marshmallows and then toss the rest of the ingredients in this sticky-sweet goodness.
- Pretzel twists: Pretzels offer a nice salty contrast to this snack mix. I like using mini pretzel twists, but any shape will work.
- Chex cereal: Rice chex adds great crunch to this mix. Feel free to use rice krispies if you prefer!
- Valentine’s Day mix-ins: Choose your own adventure here! I like using mini m&ms, festive sprinkles and even edible glitter.
How to Make Cupid’s Chex Mix of Love
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
- Prepare the marshmallow mixture: Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat, and then add the marshmallows to the pot and remove it from heat. Add the vanilla and stir the butter and the marshmallows together until the marshmallows melt.
- Add the pretzels and chex: Pour both into the pot, and fold the ingredients together until everything is coated in marshmallow.
- Spread the mixture out, and top with Valentine’s Day mix-ins: Spread out on the lined baking sheet and sprinkle with the Valentine’s day mix-ins. Gently press the mix-ins into the soft marshmallow. Allow the marshmallows to set for a few minutes.
How to Serve
You can serve this mix right on the baking sheet, or break it up into pieces and serve it in a bowl. Choose your own adventure here!
