If the tape started at about 2 inches, the measurement would show 15 inches, making it possible to obtain the correct figure without cumbersome mental calculations. This is why our tape measure starts at about 2 inches.

Make sure that the side with a push-button is facing up. Please do not pull out roughly, as it will shorten the product life.
Put the pin in the slot.
